CORN Research Roundtable: How Civilians Respond to Violent Extremism in West Africa

The September 2023 Conflict Research Network West Africa Research Roundtable will present researched perspectives on how communities respond to violent extremism in West Africa. Panelists will discuss how violent extremism shapes social relations and public authority in communities, what actions everyday people in communities are taking to counter or overcome threats of violent extremism, how national and foreign-backed military offensive against terrorist groups affect everyday people in communities, and what policymakers and relevant actors can do to support communities affected by violent extremism.
